ANÉCDOTAS DE IGNACIO DE LOYOLA

Como se sabe, Ignacio de Loyola estudió y vivió en Alcalá en 1526. Se sabe que se matriculó en la universidad. Vivía en el hospital de Antezana, y para costear el hospedaje ayudaba en la enfermería. De esta época es la anécdota que se relata a continuación.

Se dice que en una ocasión, después de dar la lección diaria de catecismo a un grupo de niños en la ermita del Cristo de los Doctrinos, se encontraba descansando en el patio de la ermita. De pronto, escuchó el llanto de una niña y se acercó para ver la razón del mismo. Al ir a coger agua del pozo se le cayó a la jovencita una cantarilla de huevos al suelo, rompiéndosele la mayor parte de ellos. Ignacio se conmovió al ver la triste escena; tomó la cantarilla, metió dentro los restos del desafortunado accidente, y la introdujo de nuevo en el pozo sacando los huevos intactos.

Anecdotes of Saint Ignatius of Loyola

It is known that Ignatius of Loyola studied and lived in Alcalá in 1526. We also know that he registered at the university. He stayed in the hospital of Antezana and, in order to pay for the accommodation, he helped at the sickbay. This anecdote dates back from that period.

It is said that on one occasion, after the daily catechism lesson he used to give to the children at the chapel of Cristo de los Doctrinos, he was resting in the chapel’s courtyard. Suddenly, he started to hear a girl crying and he went to see what happened. The little girl was taking some water from the well, when the basket full of eggs she was carrying fell to the floor, breaking a lot of them. Ignatius, touched by the sadness of the scene, took the basket and put inside the remains of the eggs and introduced them into the well. Finally, when he extracted the basket, the eggs where unbroken.

Il est bien connu qu’Ignace de Loyola a étudié et il a vécu à Alcalá en 1526.  On sait aussi qu’il s’est inscrit à l’Université.  Il vivait à l’hôpital d’Antezana, où il aidait à l’infirmerie pour payer les frais d’hébergement. L’anecdote suivante date de cette période.

On dit que dans une occasion, lorsqu’il reposait dans la cour de la chapelle après la leçon du catéchisme qu’il apprenait aux enfants de la chapelle de Cristo de los Doctrinos, il a entendu le cri d’une fille et il s’est approché vers elle afin de lui demander ce qui lui arrivait.   Lorsqu’elle a pris de l’eau du puits,  son panier plein d’œufs est tombé par terre, et la plupart des œufs s’est rompu.  Ignace, touché par la tristesse de cette scène,  a fait sortir à nouveau le panier du puits avec tous les œufs en parfaites conditions.

Вдруг, он услышал девичий плач и пошёл посмотреть, что случилось. Девушка набирала воду из колодца, как вдруг корзина, полная яиц, упала на землю, и большинство из них разбились. Игнатий был тронут столь печальной сценой, взял корзину, собрал в неё остатки от яиц и окунул её в колодец, а когда он её вытянул, яйца были целы.
